Step 1

Download Trust Wallet

Step 2

Create Your Wallet

Open Trust Wallet
Tap "Create a new wallet"
Accept the Terms of Service
Set up security (Face ID, fingerprint, or PIN)
Write down your 12-word recovery phrase
Verify by selecting words in correct order
Complete setup

CRITICAL: Recovery Phrase

Write it on paper - never screenshot or copy digitally
Store securely - not on your phone
Never share with anyone
Trust Wallet will NEVER ask for it

Security Settings to Enable:

Biometric lock - Face ID or fingerprint
Transaction signing - Require biometrics for sends
Auto-lock - Set to short timeout

Step 3

Add Tokens & Networks

Adding Tokens:

Tap the toggle icon in top right
Search for the token name
Toggle it ON to add to your wallet
Token appears on main screen

Adding Custom Tokens:

Tap toggle icon → scroll to bottom
Tap "Add Custom Token"
Select the network (Ethereum, BSC, etc.)
Paste the contract address
Details auto-fill - verify correct
Tap "Save"

Verify Contract Addresses!

Always get contract addresses from official sources (CoinGecko, CoinMarketCap, official project site). Scam tokens use similar names but different contracts.

Using DeFi Features

Built-in DApp Browser:

Tap "Browser" at bottom of app
Browse featured DApps or enter URL
Connect wallet when prompted
Approve transactions to interact

Staking in Trust Wallet:

Go to the token you want to stake
Tap "Stake" button
Choose validator or staking option
Enter amount
Confirm and stake

Stakeable Assets in Trust Wallet

You can stake BNB, Cosmos (ATOM), Tezos (XTZ), Solana (SOL), and more directly in the app. Rewards vary by asset.

- Only visit DApps you trust
